The "Long Range" brass tube was conceived to reach the deepest lies. To make the rear part lighter, the body has been cut in four places. The "Summer arrow" brass tubes are in fact a "conehead mutant". The "Skittle" brass tube is the one with the best balance among all heavy tubes. It has enough weight at the front end to push the fly down and hold it firmly in the current. The rear part is thin, and not that different from the so-called "US tubes" "The Fly Co". Front cone helps to hold fur up and mount wing at the best angle. Hair of wing stays far from the hook, so it helps prevent tangling. One variant has grooves on the rear part of the thickening, which can be dyed. |
The "Weight forward" brass tube has similar ideas behind it as the Skittle tube, but its lighter. Its weight is concentrated to the front and the body doesn't contain slots. This tube ranques close in weight to Long Range tube brass. Its more suitable for fishing in slow waters than usual half-inch and cylindrical tubes. This tube is also perfectly suited for flies at dusk and by night for seatrout, where details don't affect fihing that much, whereas silouette is all. Tying performs on plastic insert. |
The "JS bottle neck" tube has a shorter body and is lighter than Long Range Tube, with three slots on it's body. Its made in two versions: brass and aluminium. This model is suitable for low water fishing and for tiers who prefer to tie directly on metal neck insted of plastic insert. |
